International Festival “Chveneburebi 2026”

The international festival “Chveneburebi” was held in the cities of İnegöl, Orhangazi and Bursa, Türkiye, from 3 to 5 July 2026, bringing Georgian music, dance and cultural traditions to audiences in Türkiye.

The festival was organized by the Ministry of Culture of the Autonomous Republic of Ajara in cooperation with the Federation of Caucasian-Georgian Associations of Marmara.

This year’s festival program was dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the birth of Anzor Erkomaishvili, a renowned Georgian folklorist, musician and choral conductor, whose contribution to the preservation and promotion of Georgian traditional music remains invaluable.

The gala concerts featured the State Academic Ensemble of Song and Dance of Ajara “Arsiani” and the Ajara State Vocal Ensemble “Batumi”, together with choreographic ensembles and creative groups representing Caucasian-Georgian folklore and cultural associations of İnegöl and Orhangazi.

The festival concluded on 5 July with a grand gala concert at the Atatürk Grand Concert Hall in Bursa, featuring performances by the ensembles “Arsiani” and “Batumi”. The event was attended by thousands of Georgians living in Türkiye, creating a special atmosphere of cultural unity and connection.

The “Chveneburebi” festival represents an important platform for strengthening cultural ties between Georgia and Türkiye, promoting Georgian intangible cultural heritage and fostering dialogue between communities through music and traditional arts.
