“Summer Rhythms” Gala Concert

A gala concert entitled “Summer Rhythms” was held at the Batumi State Music Centre, bringing together different forms of Georgian performing arts in one program.

The event was organized by the Batumi State Music Centre at the initiative of the Ministry of Culture of the Autonomous Republic of Ajara and was attended by representatives of the Georgian Parliament, the Government of the Autonomous Republic of Ajara, cultural figures and invited guests.

The concert presented a diverse artistic program combining opera, choral, contemporary and folk music, as well as ballet and Georgian traditional dance performances.

The program featured performances by the Capella and Opera Soloists of the Batumi State Music Centre, the State Academic Ensemble of Georgian Folk Dance “Khorumi”, the preparatory group of the State Academic Ensemble of Song and Dance of Ajara “Arsiani”, children’s choreographic ensemble “Mtvervali”, the girls’ choir of Batumi Revaz Lagidze Music School, the Academic Choir of Batumi Vakhtang Chabukiani Classical Ballet School, the folk ensemble “Hangebi”, and solo performers Avtandil Abeslamidze, Andria Putkaradze and Anita Abgariani.

The performances by the Capella and Opera Soloists of the Batumi State Music Centre were dedicated to the memory of the ensemble’s soloist Leila Vashakmadze.

As part of the event, an exhibition of traditional musical instruments and national costumes preserved in the collections of the Khariton Akhvlediani Ajara Museum was presented in the foyer of the Batumi State Music Centre.

The gala concert highlighted the richness and diversity of Georgian cultural traditions, bringing together classical music, folklore and contemporary artistic expression on one stage.
